Contact lens fitting
Mable Opticians offers contact lens fitting at its practice on Victoria Road, Mablethorpe, for people who would like an alternative to glasses.
How does a contact lens fitting work?
A contact lens fitting is separate from an eye test. The optician checks the shape of the front of your eye, your tear film and your prescription, then chooses a lens type that suits your eyes and how often you plan to wear them.
Many people can wear contact lenses, including people with astigmatism and people who need help with reading vision. You try lenses first, learn how to put them in and take them out, and come back for an aftercare check before you continue.
Who is it for?
- People who want an alternative to glasses for sport, work or socialising
- People with astigmatism looking at toric lenses
- Adults who need help with close work and prefer not to wear reading glasses
- Current wearers whose lenses feel dry or uncomfortable
